Nothing but Praise for this Pilot

Hello Readers.

I have a video I wanted to show you today. It shows a UPS jet coming in for a landing. The jet is almost at the point of touchdown when the entire jet suddenly yaws to the left. The pilot, obviously very alert and experienced, lets their instincts take over and they throttle the engines up and save the jet. A spectacular save at that.

I know personally how that feels. As a Loadmaster/Radio Operator on a Marine Corps KC-130 in Lajes in Azores in the late eighties, I experienced something similar when we tried to land. The runway lights met at a point in front of us until suddenly a crosswind blew our aircraft toward the right side of the runway. Then I only saw the right side runway lights. My heart was in my throat. The pilots corrected the direction of the aircraft, executed the "missed approach" as they did in the video and came back around for another attempt. We successfully landed on the second attempt. That was my only chance in my Marine Corps career to go to Rota Spain. But we were successful and went to the hotel and counted our blessings. The Marine Corps has good pilots too. :-)

Updated Blog to Improve Your Blogging Experience

Hello readers. Just a little message to let you know that I updated my blog. I removed two games (Four Wheel Madness and Stunt Dirt Bike) to eliminate the inconvenience of having to go to the bottom of my blog EACH time you read a post to turn off the sound. Blog reading should be an enjoyable and pleasant experience for all. I don't want to be remembered as a nuisance blog.

I apologize to those of you who may have already established our blog as a place to play that game. You can go to WidgetBox and get the game code and install it on a website if you have one. If you do not, please comment or email me and I'll keep you in mind. I'll have my other site up again soon and I'll post the games there.

The Watcher - He (God) Will Watch Over Us All

I give the world my poem to help ease any pain or loneliness that someone may be going through right now. Please know and understand that God sees everything for He is "The Watcher".

The Watcher

God is my watchtower;
watching over all that I do.
Protecting me from harm,
and watching every step.
For God is the watcher,
surveying the twisted road of life;
looking ahead and preparing me
for troubles, toils and strife.
And for that reason,
when the skies of life grow dark,
I shall not fear;
For God is the watcher
and he always be near.
