Nothing but Praise for this Pilot

Hello Readers.

I have a video I wanted to show you today. It shows a UPS jet coming in for a landing. The jet is almost at the point of touchdown when the entire jet suddenly yaws to the left. The pilot, obviously very alert and experienced, lets their instincts take over and they throttle the engines up and save the jet. A spectacular save at that.

I know personally how that feels. As a Loadmaster/Radio Operator on a Marine Corps KC-130 in Lajes in Azores in the late eighties, I experienced something similar when we tried to land. The runway lights met at a point in front of us until suddenly a crosswind blew our aircraft toward the right side of the runway. Then I only saw the right side runway lights. My heart was in my throat. The pilots corrected the direction of the aircraft, executed the "missed approach" as they did in the video and came back around for another attempt. We successfully landed on the second attempt. That was my only chance in my Marine Corps career to go to Rota Spain. But we were successful and went to the hotel and counted our blessings. The Marine Corps has good pilots too. :-)

Updated Blog to Improve Your Blogging Experience

Hello readers. Just a little message to let you know that I updated my blog. I removed two games (Four Wheel Madness and Stunt Dirt Bike) to eliminate the inconvenience of having to go to the bottom of my blog EACH time you read a post to turn off the sound. Blog reading should be an enjoyable and pleasant experience for all. I don't want to be remembered as a nuisance blog.

I apologize to those of you who may have already established our blog as a place to play that game. You can go to WidgetBox and get the game code and install it on a website if you have one. Make your money grow to support your dreams

Hello and welcome.

I am talking to you today to share some information I have to help you make your money work harder for you.

Today it is harder and harder to keep the money you receive. The price of gas rises ever higher and food follows the same vicious cycle. On top of that numerous fees for good and services are increasing and taking more and more of your hard earned money. Do you want to put an end to this vicious cycle? Unless you have money like Warren Buffet, I am sure the answer is a resounding YES. Are you interested in finding a way to make your money work for you? Learning about your finances is easy. There are numerous books, magazines, articles and websites that can help you achieve that elusive dream of financial freedom. I am not speaking as an expert on the subject. I am only speaking on the knowledge that I have acquired over time. You must still consult professionals (accountants, attorney's, CPA's, brokers, etc.) to help you in making financial decisions for you and your family. I have had some setbacks but I will apply the same information that I am going to give to you to make my dream (and yours too!) of financial freedom come true.

You can start by budgeting. This means taking into account where your money is going out to and how much is coming in. You can take simple steps to keep more of your money by eliminating things that you absolutely positively DON'T need. Some people may drink less sodas or stop smoking cigarettes. Fourth of July in Columbia, Maryland

Hello Everyone.

I want to thank the city of Columbia, Maryland for making my day on July 4, 2008. The city put together a wonderful festival which culminated with a spectacular fireworks display. The music was a perfect match for the festival and included a song from Lee Greenwood (Proud to be an American). Food and fun was had by all in attendance. It wasn't too hot or humid and was actually pretty comfortable. The festival is held across the street from Columbia Mall.

If you want a place to bring the family for July 4th, Columbia, Maryland is a good place to do so. Take I-95 to Exit 41 (Little Patuxent Parkway). Take the Little Patuxent Parkway to Columbia Mall. If you want to eat at a restaurant you have plenty to choose from in the mall. You can park in the mall parking lot and go across the street to the park to have fun, enjoy the music and food and watch the fireworks show.

Just an introductory shout out to the world. Just wanted to say hello and hope that all is well with everyone. May all the things that you desire in life come your way. I will do what I can along the way to make life better for someone. We never know how information we provide or an action we take make help someone and/or make them feel better. These are trying times and more often than not we need encouragement. I plan on delivering some of that encouragement through poetry and pictures later on. I also dabble in business opportunities here and there. Most people can use a little extra cash in their pockets these days. Check me out/drop a line if you're interested.
